Protecting Data or Applications is important. We do not need to spend more money to do that. On the Internet there are a lot of softwares to provide this services. May be you should try this one to improve the protecting data or applications.
SaveIt! is a free software to protect data and applications by adding a password to the data or application. So, when you open a data file or the application will display a dialog box to enter a password.
Here are steps to protect your data or applications:
1. Install and Run the SaveIt!
2. Click the Browse button located under the File Name edit box.
3. If you want to give a password on the applications file types then select the option of “Files of type”. If you want to give a password on the document type then select “to a program linked to documents”.
4. Click the Next button.
5. Fill in your desired password in the Password field and Repetition.
6. Click the Next button.
7. There Will be appeared the windows progress bar that marks the activation process of the password.
If you done the steps correctly, it will display the dialog box to fill the password when you open the protected documents or applications. Click the Start button to open documents or run applications. If you want to disable the protection on that file then click the Setup tab and click the Remove button protection.
