Protect Folders in Windows with Password

Do not forget to always protect your data that can be read by someone. Windows gave a facility to protect the folder with a password.

Do you have important data in a folder and want to that folder with password protected? These way are steps todo that.


1. Right Click your mouse button on the free space next to the folder that will be protected. Select to Customize This Folder, then choose Create HTML For This Document Folder.

2. Then you will go into Notepad, Scroll the screen up to see script after that press [ENTER] to insert a line after the string. Now enter these command :

var pass = prompt(”Enter the password”) [Press ENTER]
if(pass != “YOURPASSWORD”) [ Press ENTER]
{window.location=”C:”} [ Presss ENTER]

3. Save your file.

4. Refresh by pressing F5 in Windows explorer.

5. Done and Take a look to the result.
